USTA Tennis Guidelines

  • Use new balls and a new grip, if possible
  • Groups will leave 5 minutes BEFORE official end time to diminish chance of overlap traffic and give staff time to wipe down and sanitize
  • If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet
  • Tennis lesson groups limited in capacity; limited net crossing
  • When playing doubles, coordinate with your partner to maintain physical distancing.
  • Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent. Avoid using your hands to pick up the balls
  • Locker room use limited to use of bathrooms only – NO SHOWERS or LOCKERS
  • Fans will used and doors will be open to create extra circulation whenever possible
  • Extra seating on the courts to give players distance between play
  • Uncertain about doubles? Consider organizing your groups with people in your social “bubble”, and/or wear masks during doubles play
  • Leave the court as soon as reasonably possible
  • No extra-curricular or social activity should take place, no congregation after playing
